Rehabilitation - Physical, Occupational & Speech Therapy

Maintaining and improving quality of life

Rehabilitation Services at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center include physical, occupation and speech therapies.  These programs are designed to promote a person’s highest quality of life and independence with an emphasis on community re-entry.  Kingsway advocates a minimal use of restraints.  Intravenous therapy, enteral feedings, wound care, tracheostomy, colostomy and gastrostomy care are also available.

Providing these services within our nursing center allows for better management of some chronic and post-acute conditions and to promote shortened recovery periods.  These services may also reduce the need for hospitalization for some residents, thereby reducing transfer trauma and helping to maintain quality of life.

Through the Speech and Reading Improvement Center, Kingsway is able to offer diagnostic evaluation and treatment for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders.  Speech therapy strives to improve one’s quality of life through enhancing their ability to communicate and eat safely.
