The 26th annual fundraising golf tournament to benefit Make-A-Wish Northeast New York will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Mohawk Golf Club, 1849 Union Street in Niskayuna, NY. The event is sponsored by Kingsway Community with Jason Gough, Meteorologist at NewsChannel 13 as the Honorary Chair. Registration is from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Lunch is from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM.
The tournament is a four-person scramble format with a shotgun start at 1:00 PM. The $185 cost per player includes lunch, cart, green fees, beverages on the course, dinner and a chance to win one of the prizes awared in several categories, as well as door prizes. Each golfer also receives a goodie bag. After golf is a buffet dinner followed by an awards presentation. A Wish child will speak about his/her Wish experience so participants have an appreciation of where their donations go and how their contributions make a difference in childrens' lives.
Make-A-Wish Northeast New York is a non-profit organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make-A-Wish Northeast New York serves the 15 counties comprising the 518 area code. The chapter grants about 100 wishes per year and has granted more than 1,700 wishes since 1986.
