The 27th annual fundraising golf tournament to benefit Make-A-Wish Northeast New York that was scheduled for Monday, June 4, 2018 at Mohawk Golf Club, has been rescheduled for Monday, June 18th. Unfavorable weather conditions necessitated the date change. The event is sponsored by Kingsway Community with Rodger Wyland, Sports Director at WNYT/WNYA, as the Honorary Chair. Registration is from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Lunch is from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM.
The tournament is a four-person scramble format with a shotgun start at 1:00 PM. The $185 cost per player includes lunch, cart, green fees, beverages on the course, dinner and a chance to win one of the prizes awared in several categories, as well as door prizes. Each golfer also receives a goodie bag. After golf is a buffet dinner followed by awards presentation. A Wish child will speak about his/her Wish experience so participants have an appreciation of where their donations go and how their contributions make a difference in childrens' lives.
