The 28th annual fundraising golf tournament to benefit Make-A-Wish Northeast New York will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Mohawk Golf Club. The event is sponsored by Kingsway Community. Registration is from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Lunch is from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM.
The tournament is a four-person scramble format with a shotgun start at 1:00 PM. The $185 cost per player includes lunch, cart, green fees, beverages on the course, dinner and a chance to win one of the prizes awared in several categories, as well as door prizes. Each golfer also receives a goodie bag. After golf is a buffet dinner followed by awards presentation. A Wish child will speak about his/her Wish experience so participants have an appreciation of where their donations go and how their contributions make a difference in childrens' lives.
Make-A-Wish, together with community support, creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Make-A-Wish Northweast New York serves 15 counties that comprise the 518/838 area codes, and grants around 90 wishes each year and has granted nearly 1,800 wishes to local children since its founding in 1987.
