Where to get Senior Discounts and Deals Around Schenectady

Both Walgreens and Rite Aid offer senior specials on select senior days. At Walgreens, you’ll get 20 percent off eligible items (check online for their senior day schedule, and at Rite Aid, you’ll earn 5x point on in-store purchases and receive a free pharmacist consultation (senior days are the first Wednesday of every month).

Head to Joann Fabric on its senior day (check your local store for schedule) for 20 percent off your purchase; Kohl’s on Wednesdays for 15 percent off your purchase, and Goodwill on Tuesdays for 10 percent off your purchase. Michael’s also offers 10 percent off in-store and online purchase for those 55 and up, but you must create a Michael’s Rewards account to reap the benefit.

At Regal Cinemas, seniors are treated like royalty. AARP members can save up to 20 percent on Regal ePremiere tickets purchased online, movie-lovers 60 and up can get discounted movie tickets at select locations, and those with both an AARP membership and Regal Crown Club membership will receive $3 off a popcorn and soda combo.



Planning your next getaway? If you travel by train and are 62 or older, you can receive a 15 percent discount on the lowest available rail fare on most Amtrak trains.
