Kingsway Village Apartments, the newest of our Independent Living options, was designed to surpass every expectation you have for retirement living. Kingsway Village offers apartments with large, inviting living rooms, full kitchens, spacious bedrooms, ample closets and beautiful outdoor surroundings.

Dining is one of our specialties at Kingsway. Our Executive Chef and his staff prepare flavorful culinary creations served in an elegant dining environment at Kingsway Village each evening. In addition, our Activities Director offers a selection of creative, fun, entertaining and intellectually stimulating activities each month. All the amenities to create a comfortable lifestyle, coupled with having a full continuum of care on the same campus, add up to security and independence.

Most of our apartments come with either a balcony or patio for enjoying those quiet days and nights, while every apartment features individually controlled and metered gas heat and air conditioners and emergency pull cords in the bedrooms and bathrooms. In addition, free laundry facilities are located in six locations throughout the building.

Kingsway Village is handicap accessible with two elevators for your convenience as well as sprinklers, smoke, heat and CO2 detectors in every apartment. In the winter, with any snowfall over 2", we will clean your car off (with a signed release and key submission) and move it for plowing purposes for you!

Investment Information

Kingsway Village opened its doors in 2001 to provide congregate housing to independent seniors with a variety of services and amenities. There is no buy in or entrance fee, however a unique investment opportunity has been developed to ensure long-term financial independence in the higher levels of care on the Kingsway campus.

Each resident of Kingsway Village Apartments invests in his or her own future by establishing a trust account in the bank located on the premises. M&T Bank provides an array of investment options, from extremely conservative fixed income offerings to more sophisticated alternatives for those residents seeking more growth potential. Rest assured that the investment choices offered have been through a rigorous screening process and include some of the most widely known and best performing investment vehicles available in the financial industry. Each resident works closely with an advisor from M&T Bank to create a portfolio that is tailored to meet his or her goals. In addition to having periodic meetings with the financial advisor to review their portfolio, residents have the ability to monitor their account at all times and full discretion to make changes to the portfolio allocation as desired.

The account is titled in the resident's name and earmarked as a means of guaranteeing that assets are available for offsetting the cost of care, if and when the resident transitions into assisted living/memory care at Kingsway Manor or the skilled nursing/rehabilitation facility at Kingsway Arms. The fundamental principle of this program is to guarantee that the account is always controlled by the resident and to ensure that assets within the account accrue for individual benefit. Accordingly, in the event a resident were to pass away while at Kingsway, the full balance of the account would become part of the resident's estate for their heirs. Moreover, if a resident should decide to leave Kingsway Community for any reason, the assets in the account would go with them.
