Our Memory Care Center is located within Kingsway Manor Assisted Living where each resident has individual and specific needs relating to their medical, physical, emotional and social well-being. The programs offered are designed to maximize independence and to increase each resident's quality of life. The specially-trained staff at the Memory Care Center are dedicated to providing services to meet the individualized needs of each resident.

Kingsway is a proud corporate sponsor of the Alzheimer's Association of NENY. Kingsway staff members participate in Alzheimer's Association fundraising events such as the Capital Region Walk to End Alzheimer's, Reason to Hope Gala, and the Capital Region Caregivers' Conference each year. In addition, to enhance the lives of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, Kingsway hosts an Alzheimer's Association's Caregiver Support Group meeting. This monthly meeting is designed to provide emotional, educational and social support for caregivers through regularly scheduled meetings. These meetings can help participants develop methods and skills to assist them with positive outcomes. The group encourages caregivers to maintain their own personal, physical and emotional health, as well as optimally care for the person with dementia. This support group meeting is held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the lobby conference room at Kingsway Manor Assisted Living.

When you arrive at Kingsway Manor, and periodically thereafter, an evaluation will be completed. This evaluation will assist in determining the appropriate and customized level of care to meet your needs. An additional monthly charge may apply depending upon the level of care identified. There is a $1,000 non-refundable application fee for Kingsway Manor.

Meet Our Team

Brenda Scovello Seeber
Administrator

Brenda has been in the health care profession for over 36 years and has been at Kingsway Manor for 17 years. She holds a Nursing degree and a Public Administration degree from The Sage Colleges and is a Certified Assisted Living Administrator. Brenda serves on the Executive Board of Directors as Chair for the New York State Center for Assisted Living and is a former member of the Assisted Living Committee for the Empire State Association of Assisted Living. In addition, she is the New York State representative to the National Center for Assisted Living.

Brenda enjoys working at Kingsway Community because the owners truly emulate the importance of caring for our residents in the "Family Tradition."

Katie George
Senior Living Specialist

After over 26 years in the corporate business world, Katie discovered her true passion – working with seniors. For the past 5 years, Katie has been helping seniors navigate through the changes that occur as they move from one independent situation to another. She is thrilled to call Kingsway her home.

Katie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Siena College where she also concentrated in Psychology and Sociology. She has an extensive background in customer service and client relationship management. Katie has also served on the Board of Directors at a local senior center.
