My Mom often said, "I love the food here, especially since I don't have to prepare it." The dietary department did a fine job, trying to keep weight on her with extra snacks of cheese and crackers. Shrimp and special requests on her birthday were great. The dining room staff is very patient, even when we were the last ones to leave.

Mom spent 4 years at Parkland Gardens, 6 months at The Manor and her final months at The Nursing Center. But the true blessing that we were given was all of the loving caregivers who entered our lives during that time. From the aides, to the nurses, the activity directors to the kitchen staff, the maintenance, office and guard staff, each one was dedicated, caring, and always uplifting in their work. I cannot tell you how much of a difference each and every one of these special people made in Mom's and our family's lives.
