For life-long Schenectady County resident Melanie Whitely, her professional mission is clear: she is proud to be a strong advocate for residents and their families and provide care to those who’ve spent their lives caring for others.

Melanie earned her bachelor’s in Social Welfare from SUNY Albany and is currently completing postgraduate work towards a master’s in Social Work.  Along with her husband Chris, and children Erin, Preston and Emma, (all grown now), Melanie’s “extended family” includes two dogs and two horses.  When not at Kingsway, Melanie can be found spending time with family and friends, including her 100-year old grandmother, working on planning board projects for her town, and meeting with the ladies auxiliary at the volunteer fire house.
